Profile

Stephanie works in a studio overlooking the Fal Estuary in Cornwall.

 

Following Foundation studies in Art and Design, Stephanie graduated from Loughborough College of Art and Design in 1980 with a First Class BA Honours Degree in Silversmithing and Jewellery design.

She began work as a jeweller in Leicester before setting up her own studio in the Lake District in 1986 and  taught jewellery making at Cumbria College of Art and Design.

She moved to Cornwall in 1990.

 

 

Her work has attracted regional and national awards and support from Arts Council England.

Her jewellery has been exhibited widely in galleries and outlets promoting the work of internationally acclaimed contemporary designer-makers.

These include the Scottish Gallery in Edinburgh and Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

Stephanie has shown work regularly at Electrum, the renowned jewellers gallery in London and with Dazzle exhibitions in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester and London. She has supplied collections for Liberty’s in London.

Commissions include work for The National Theatre London and Kneehigh Theatre Cornwall and for International delegates on the Royal Yacht Britannia. 

Sales have been made to leading professionals in the world of creative and performing arts.

 

Stephanie is a member of  The Association for Contemporary Jewellers and Cornwall Crafts Association.
